REASONS:
On September 20, 2012, Resolution No. 2012-1958 was approved for an amount
not to exceed $721,783 for insurance renewals with Brown & Brown/Preferred
Governmental Insurance Trust. The Resolution was for renewal of the
Commercial Package Policy (Property, Liability, Automobile), Worker's
Compensation and Miscellaneous Insurances. The additional amount and related
coverage listed above were not allowed for in the original Resolution and it is
recommended that the additional amount be granted in order to ensure adequate
coverage is in place for the City.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We will be reviewing all of our deductibles with an eye toward cost savings from
adjustments that may be in the City's best interest.
FUNDING SOURCE:
Funding will come from account numbers: 10-533-5458 Property Insurance
Coverage, 10-533-5454 Worker's Compensation, 10-533-5451 Property
Deductibles, 10-533-5459 General Liability Premiums, and 20-600-5670 Pier's
Builder's Risk.
ATTACHMENTS:
• Resolution
Agenda Item No 10E
Date 6/20/2013
101
