Hines, CMC, City Clerk <br /> DATE: 7/18/2013 <br /> RE: Resolution Authorizing the City Manager or his Designee to <br /> Approve Required Contracts, Agreements, and Purchase Orders <br /> During the Summer Recess <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is requested that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution that <br /> provides authority to the City Manager to sign or renew contracts, agreements, <br /> and purchase orders during the summer recess. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The City Commission is not scheduled to meet between July 18, 2013 and the <br /> next regular meeting of September 19, 2013, and there may be new or existing <br /> contracts that require approval during that time period. This Resolution <br /> authorizes the City Manager or his Designee to sign or renew. all required <br /> contracts, agreements, and purchase orders that affect the health, safety, or <br /> welfare of the City during the summer recess period. <br /> The City Manager will report back to the City Commission at the first regular City <br /> Commission meeting-of September 19, 2013, seeking after-the-fact ratification . <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> • Resolution <br /> Agenda Item No 10B <br /> Date 7/18/2013 <br /> 50 <br />
