Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Bill Evans, Assistant City Manager <br /> DATE: 7/18/2013 <br /> RE: Second Amendment to the Lukes-Sawgrass Landscaping, Inc. <br /> Agreement <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> We recommend that the City Commission renew the Lukes-Sawgrass <br /> Landscaping, Inc. Agreement for second term. The original agreement contains <br /> four (4) one year renewal options. We would be exercising our second renewal. <br /> REASONS: <br /> In August 2012 the City entered into an agreement with Lukes-Sawgrass <br /> Landscaping Inc. for Citywide Landscaping Services. Resolution No. 2012-1953 <br /> capped expenses at $650,000.00 which included regular on-going maintenance <br /> as well as special projects. The special projects allocation was $100,000.00 <br /> In February 2013 the City entered into a First Amendment to the agreement with <br /> Lukes-Sawgrass Landscaping Inc. for special projects used to bring the City up <br /> to its standards and several projects that were for the 2012-2013 fiscal year. <br /> Resolution 2013-2032 capped expenses at $400,000.00 bringing the total <br /> amount to $1,050,000.00. <br /> The City is requesting to renew the original agreement for landscaping services <br /> to include maintenance of landscape, irrigation, public right-of-way maintenance, <br /> sidewalks, street furniture, facility maintenance, trimming, planting and/or <br /> removal of trees. <br /> Agenda Item No.IOF <br /> Date 7/18/2013 <br /> 93 <br />
