Arias, Chief Information Officer <br /> DATE: 7/18/2013 <br /> RE: Disposal of Surplus Equipment <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution <br /> authorizing the City Manager to dispose of the surplus equipment described <br /> below. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The City has surplus equipment which has accumulated over the past several <br /> years. It serves no useful purpose, and should be disposed of in order to reclaim <br /> storage space in City facilities. The equipment listed below consists of two non- <br /> functional computers, assorted non-functional UPS (backup power supplies) <br /> equipment, broken printers & fax machines, broken accessories (mice and <br /> keyboards), and additional miscellaneous items as listed. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> In order to dispose of the equipment described below, the Information <br /> Technology Department would utilize a state-approved vendor that would pick up <br /> and recycle the equipment in an environmentally safe manner. Details of the <br /> state contract and vendor information are attached to this item. <br /> The surplus equipment to be disposed of is as follows: <br /> DELL Laptop Docking Stations for Latitude D-series (x16) <br /> DELL Monitor Stands (x3) <br /> Agenda Item No.IOH <br /> Date 7/18/2013 <br /> 134 <br />
