We have been able to identify
that prefabricating the abutments and elevator shafts would be substantially more expensive since it would be a custom made
item. Furthermore, this would allow us to start with the construction of the abutments and the elevator shafts before the
fabrication of the bridge is completed. Note that Stantec has identified that the abutment will require pre - stressed piles.
BRIDGE LIGHTING
The prefabricated bridge will be provided with LED lights within the pre - fabricated steel bridge as shown on the picture below.
This is a similar project which was recently completed by Anzac at the Coco Plum Circle Pedestrian Bridge.
iBRIDGE ELEVATORS
The Design/Build Team is proposing an elevator at each end to comply with ADA since we will be unable to provide an approach
with the proper slopes that comply with ADA due to the space constraints. As a result, we are proposing a standard size 5'x7' size
elevator with glass on three sides. The elevator will have a load capacity of 2,100 Ibs with a stainless steel door. In addition,
adjacent to the elevator shaft and the abutment, there will be an elevator room. Our Elevator Subcontractor has indicated that
they will take care of the State Permit for the elevator.
1
1
1 66
