I would like to take the opportunity to offer my recommendation of Anzac Contractors as an excellent construction firm with significant experience with the Design -Build process. I am the CEI Project Administrator for the Florida Department of Transportation's US -1 (I8 -mile stretch) project in Monroe and Miami -Dade counties. During this project I have had a daily interaction with Anzac Contractors since April, 2008, who have been a pleasure to work with. In my position I am responsible for the contact administration with oversight of a variety of construction firms. I can say that in my 3 5 years of construction experience Anzac Contractors has proven to be one of the most cooperative firms I have been associated with. They police themselves well and interact with my inspection staff in a truly cooperative manner. On this US -1 project, Anzac Contractors was responsible for constructing a 230 foot, Type III AASHTO girder bridge supported by 18" and 24" PC/PS pile bents. In addition to this bridge crossing of US -1 over the C -111 Canal, Anzac Contractors also built two, 40 foot span flat slab bridges which serve as wildlife crossings on US -1. During this project, Anzac Contractors were responsible for all aspects of these three bridges from the test pile program to grooving the finished bridge decks. All of the equipment supplied to the project was in good shape, well maintained and always met or exceeded industry standards or specification requirements. At all times during this project, Anzac Contractors furnished a very professional staff of field and support personnel. The key personnel in the firm were always easy to get in contact with 24 -7. When I did need to contact anyone in the firm they were responsive to whatever the issue was. As I stated previously, Anzac Contractors were always cooperative and their response time was consistently quick and satisfactory. Any submittal from shop drawings on the deck shoring to the many material certifications required by the Department of Transportation were always submitted in a timely manner and in a completed manner. If you are in a position to short list Anzac Contractors for any of your proposed work, be it Design -Build or conventional Bid - Build, I recommend that you do yourself and the City of Pompano Beach a favor and do so. If you give them a chance to provide you with a price and a guaranty to perform, I am sure you will be very satisfied should they be awarded your contract.
