Grandinetti, Police Captain <br />DATE: 11/21/2013 <br />RE: Authorization to Apply For, Receive and Expend Grant Money from <br />the Miami -Dade County, Federal Drug Control and System <br />Improvement Program (Byrne /JAG Grant FY2014) for the <br />purchase of School Resource Officers Teaching Tools for Kids <br />Safety Classes, in an amount not to exceed $3,069.00 <br />TION: <br />if iS ieCOTumcndcd that the City r.CmmiSSi ^v., apCrC`Je 0 ReSOtuuvtt GUflwiiutr0 <br />the Mayor to apply for, receive, and expend monies from the Miami -Dade County <br />Federal Drug Control and System Improvement Program (Byrne /JAG Grant) in <br />the amount of $3,069.00 <br />REASONS: <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach Police Department has been given preliminary <br />approval of grant funds totaling $3,069.00 in order to purchase School Resource <br />Officers Teaching Tools for Kids Safety Classes. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />By utilizing FY2014 Byrne grant funds, the department would be able to provide <br />the school resource officer with a number of teaching tools for the Kid Safety <br />Class.
