RESOLUTION NO. 2013- 2 15q <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A LETTER AGREEMENT WITH <br />JAY CARROLL OF CARROLL ELECTRIC AUTHORIZING THE <br />SPENDING AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE ELECTRICAL CONSULTING <br />SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT <br />"A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City has eliminated the part -time electrician position and is in need <br />of an electrician to provide electrical consulting services when necessary throughout the City; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has recommended Jay Carroll of Carroll Electric based on his relevant <br />experience, qualifications, and past performances; and <br />WHEREAS, Jay Carroll is willing and able to perform said services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the Letter Agreement with Jay Carroll <br />authorizing the spending authority to provide Electrical Consulting Services. in an amount not to <br />exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approval of Letter Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves the Letter <br />Agreement with Jay Carroll authorizing the spending authority to provide Electrical Consulting <br />Services, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), attached hereto <br />as Exhibit "A ". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will become effective upon adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21" day of November 2013. <br />rman S.
