Russo, City Manager <br />FROM: Helen Gray, PE, City Engineer <br />DATE: 12/19/2013 <br />RE: A Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Utilize Ric -Man <br />International, Inc. for Construction Services at the Intracoastal Park <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />We recommend City Commission approve the resolution. <br />REASONS: <br />In previous City Commission approvals, Ric -Man International, Inc. has been <br />approved to provide construction services on various City projects as designated <br />by the City. The basis of the contract is invoicing by unit prices that were <br />competitively bid and has been piggy- backed by the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />To date, Ric -Man International Inc has done various storm drain system repairs <br />including pipes and inlets and associated roadway restoration at various <br />locations, removal of obstructions in the sanitary sewer lateral at Samson <br />Oceanfront Park, paver repairs at Pier Park along with substantial construction <br />activities at Intracoastal Park. The previously approved limit of S100,000 for this <br />fiscal year has been reached and additional funding is needed to continue with <br />various improvements at the Intracoastal Park. <br />Work to date at the Intracoastal Park has included installation of erosion control <br />measures, site grading, security fencing, along with the removal of buried and <br />substantial improvements that had not been demolished previously by the City. <br />COST: <br />http: / /sibagenda.sibfl. net / Agenda / Preview .aspx ?itemlD = 1206 &Meetingl D =0& %4eetingD... 12/13/2013 <br />
