RESOLUTION NO. 2014- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE NORTH MIAMI BEACH LITTLE LEAGUE WITH IN -KIND SUPPORT IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($4,000.00) FOR USE OF THE CHIEF FRED MAAS BASEBALL FIELD TO PROVIDE A RECREATIONAL BASEBALL PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION: PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is committed to providing a variety of quality recreational opportunities to our community, and WHEREAS, the North Miami Beach Little League and Sunny Isles Beach are dedicated to activities that benefit the children of the Sunny Isles Beach community; and WHEREAS, the North Miami Beach Little League organization has requested use of the Chief Fred Maas Baseball Field to provide a recreational baseball program; and WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is dedicated to supporting these activities with an in -kind donation of free use of the field, as well as City personnel to assist in these sport activities, in an estimated amount of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Donation. The City Commission hereby approves the donation of in- kind support for North Miami Beach Little League of free use of the Chief Fred Maas Baseball Field located at Pelican Community Park, and City personnel assisting in these sport activities, in an estimated amount of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00). Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
