Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting December 20,2018 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> 2. Pursuant to Section 265-11(N)(3) of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br /> Regulations,the Applicant is requesting an extension of time to pull a building permit for an <br /> additional 24-months from the 24-months timeframe allowed by the under the City Code,for <br /> a total of 48 months from the date of site plan approval. <br /> 3. Pursuant to Section 265-14 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development Regulations, <br /> the Applicant is requesting the use of'graphics and murals on a temporary construction <br /> fencing. <br /> 4. Pursuant to Section 265-18 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach LDRs, the Applicant is <br /> requesting approval for the conceptual design,for a pedestrian bridge across and over Collins <br /> Avenue. The"final"design and exact locations of the pedestrian bridge is subject to approval <br /> of the City. <br /> Action: Mayor Scholl gave opening remarks on zoning procedures/decorum. City Clerk <br /> Betancur read a disclaimer for the Zoning hearing and administered the oath to witnesses. <br /> City Clerk Mauricio Betancur asked if there were any Ex Parte disclosures to which the <br /> Mayor, Commissioner Gatto, and Commissioner Viscarra stated they had met with the <br /> developer. <br /> Planning and Zoning Director Claudia Hasbun reported that the applicant is seeking a site <br /> plan approval for a proposed fifteen (15) story project located at 16700 and 16750 Collins <br /> Avenue called"Infinity". The project consists of 120 residential condominium units and 220 <br /> hotel units, with a total proposed 330,875 square feet of floor area ratio. In addition, located <br /> on the ground level, the project will include 22,560 square feet of retail space and 5,413 <br /> square feet of restaurant space. The project's parking will be within an enclosed 5-story <br /> parking garage with approximately 679 parking spaces. <br /> Further, the Applicant is requesting approval for the conceptual design, for a pedestrian <br /> bridge across and over Collins Avenue. The "final" design and exact locations of the <br /> pedestrian bridge is subject to approval of the City. Also, the Applicant is requesting an <br /> extension of time to pull a building permit for an additional 24-months from the 24-months <br /> timeframe allowed under the City Code,for a total of 48 months. In addition,the Applicant is <br /> requesting approval for the graphics on the temporary construction fence shown within the <br /> submitted plans. <br /> Public Speakers: Robert Tacher, Ranaan Katz, Courtney Crush, Andrew Zidor, Gregg <br /> Grossmanlgor Vassiliev. <br /> After comments from the City Commission and the public,Commissioner Svechin moved to <br /> defer the item to the Regular City Commission meeting in January and Vice Mayor Goldman <br /> seconded.
