Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />032000-5 Concrete Reinforcement and Embedded Assemblies <br />4.Provide continuous inspection of adhesive anchors installed in horizontal <br />or upwardly inclined orientations and those marked (CERT) on the latest <br />Drawings. <br />C.Periodic inspection for post-installed adhesive and mechanical anchors shall be <br />provided in accordance with the building code except that continuous inspection <br />shall be provided for the conditions identified in section B.4. The inspector shall <br />observe all aspects of the anchor installation and shall, at a minimum, verify the <br />following items: <br />1.Hole drilling method in accordance with the Manufacturer’s Published <br />Installation Instructions (MPII) and these installation requirements. <br />2.Anchor spacing and edge distance. <br />3.Hole diameter and depth. <br />4.Hole cleaning in accordance with the MPII. <br />5.Anchor element type, material, diameter, and length. <br />6.For adhesive anchors, adhesive identification and expiration date. <br />7.For adhesive anchors, adhesive installation in accordance with the MPII. <br />8.For torque-controlled mechanical anchors, the number of turns required <br />to achieve the anchor set torque per the MPII. <br />D.Owner’s Testing Agency shall submit for record inspection, observation, and/or <br />test reports to the Owner and Design Professionals, as required herein and shall <br />provide an evaluation statement in each report stating whether or not concrete <br />reinforcement, embedded assemblies, and post-installed anchors conforms to <br />requirements of Specifications and Drawings and shall specifically note <br />deviations therefrom. <br />E.Immediately notify the Contractor, Owner and Design Professionals of <br />deficiencies. <br />1.9 QUALITY CONTROL BY CONTRACTOR <br />See Section 033000. <br />1.10 OBSERVATIONS AND CORRECTIONS BY DESIGN PROFESSIONALS <br />See Section 033000. <br />1.11 PERMITS AND WARRANTY <br />A.Permits: See Section 033000. <br />B.Warranty: See Section 033000. Failures include but are not limited to the <br />following: <br />1.Bars with kinks or bends not indicated on Drawings or on approved shop <br />drawings. <br />2.Bars damaged due to bending, straightening or cutting. <br />3.Bars heated for bending.
