Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />032000-7 Concrete Reinforcement and Embedded Assemblies <br />Bar-Splice, Dayton, OH or Bar Lock End Anchorage System by Dayton <br />Superior, Miamisburg, OH. <br />D.Supports for Reinforcement: <br />1.Types: Bolsters, chairs, spacers, clips, chair bars, and other devices for <br />properly placing, spacing, supporting, and fastening the reinforcement, <br />plastic, plastic protected steel, or epoxy coated to match supported <br />reinforcement. <br />2.For Contact with Forms: Use types with not less than 3/32” (2.5mm) of <br />plastic between metal and concrete surface. <br />a)Plastic tips shall extend not less than ½” (12mm) on metal legs. <br />3.Individual and continuous slab bolsters and chairs shall be of type to suit <br />various conditions encountered and must be capable of supporting 300 <br />pound (1.5kN) load without damage or permanent distortion. <br />4.Unless otherwise indicated on Drawings, bottom reinforcing bars in <br />footings shall be supported by precast concrete bricks or individual high <br />chairs with welded sand plates on bottom. <br />5.For Slabs on Grade: Use supports with sand plates or horizontal runners <br />where base material will not support chair legs. <br />E.Deformed Bar Anchors: <br />1.Type: Automatic end welded, ASTM A 496 quality. <br />2.Size and Grade: As indicated on structural Drawings by Nelson Stud <br />Welding. <br />F.Anchor rods and dowels: <br />1.Types and Sizes: Provide sizes and types of anchor rods and dowels as <br />indicated on the Drawings. Each type of anchor shall be manufactured of <br />structural quality steel, designed for cast-in-place concrete applications <br />and be of sizes as indicated on Drawings, complete with washers, nuts, <br />plates and miscellaneous accessories required to meet Contract <br />Document requirements. <br />2.Adhesive Anchors for anchor rods and dowels in existing concrete: See <br />Anchorage Accessories. <br />2.3 ANCHORAGE ACCESSORIES <br />A.General: Miscellaneous anchorage accessories for anchoring structural, <br />architectural, electrical, and mechanical items to poured concrete shall include <br />but not be limited to the following: <br />1.Concrete Anchors: Headed or bent studs ASTM A 108/Grade 1015 <br />through 1020, minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi (345MPa), minimum <br />tensile strength of 60,000 psi (415MPa). <br />2.Anchor Rods: ASTM F1554, Grade as noted on Drawings.
