Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />033000-4 Cast-In-Place Concrete <br />b)Before submitting to Owner's Testing Agency, submit complete <br />mix design data for each separate mix to be used on the Project in <br />a single submittal. <br />c)Provide a completed “Concrete Mix Design Submittal Form” <br />(attached to the end of this Specification Section) for each <br />proposed concrete mix. <br />d)Mix materials shall be from the same production facility that will be <br />used for this Project. <br />e)Mix Design data shall include but not be limited to the following: <br />i.Locations on the Project where each mix design is to be <br />used corresponding to Structural General Notes on the <br />Drawings. <br />ii.Design Compressive Strength: As indicated on the <br />Drawings. <br />iii.Proportions: ACI 301 and ACI 318. <br />iv.Gradation and quality of each type of ingredient including <br />fresh (wet) unit weight, aggregates sieve analysis. <br />v.Water/cementitious material ratio. <br />vi.Evaluation and classification fly ash in accordance with <br />ASTM D 5759. <br />vii.Report of chemical analysis of fly ash in accordance with <br />ASTM C 618. <br />viii.Classification of blast furnace slag in accordance with <br />ASTM C 989. <br />ix.Slump: ASTM C 143. <br />x.Certification and test results of the total water soluble <br />chloride ion content of the design mix - AASHTO T260 or <br />ASTM C 1218. <br />xi.Air content of freshly mixed concrete by the pressure <br />method, ASTM C 231, or the volumetric method, ASTM C <br />173. <br />xii.Unit Weight of Concrete: ASTM C 138. <br />xiii.Design strength at 28, 56 or 90 days, as indicated on <br />Contract Documents: ASTM C 39. <br />(1)Document strength based on basis of previous field <br />experience or trial mixtures per ACI 301. <br />Proportioning by Water-Cement Ratio is not <br />permitted. <br />(2)Submit strength test records, mix design materials, <br />conditions, and proportions for concrete used for <br />record of tests, standard deviation calculation, and <br />determination of required average compressive <br />strength. Test records to support proposed <br />mixtures shall be no more than 24 months old and <br />use current cement aggregate sources. Test <br />records to establish standard deviation may be <br />older if necessary to have the required number of <br />samples.
