Gateway Park Center PERKINS+WILL <br /> 810495.00 <br />12/06/18 <br />033000-29 Cast-In-Place <br />Concrete <br />2.Joint to be routed and cleaned per manufacturer’s written directions. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 PREPARATION <br />A.Subgrade: <br />1.Dampen subgrades not covered with membrane by sprinkling <br />immediately before placing concrete. <br />a)Omit when subgrade is already damp. <br />2.Do not place on water-saturated subgrade unless placing can be done <br />without damage to subgrade (surface is stable) and loading the subgrade <br />does not drive free water to the surface. <br />3.Do not place concrete on frozen ground. <br />B.Forms: <br />1.Coordinate with Section 031000 Concrete Formwork. <br />2.Remove dirt, sawdust, nails and other foreign material from formed <br />space. <br />3.Dampen wood forms by sprinkling immediately before placing. <br />4.Cool metal forms by sprinkling immediately before placing. <br />C.Concrete Accessories: <br />1.Coordinate with Section 031000 Concrete Formwork. <br />D.Dewatering: <br />1.Remove water from concrete formwork. <br />2.Divert any flowing water to sump and remove by pumping. <br />3.Refer to Division 1 for additional dewatering requirements. <br />E.Vapor Retarder Placement: See Division 7, Thermal and Moisture Protection. <br />1.Vapor retarder installation shall be in accordance with manufacturer’s <br />instructions and ASTM E 1643. <br />2.Place vapor retarder under slabs-on-grade in position with longest <br />dimension parallel with direction of pour. <br />3.Joints: Lap 6" (150mm) minimum and seal with manufacturer’s <br />recommended mastic or pressure-sensitive tape. <br />4.Prevent damage to moisture barrier. <br />5.If moisture barrier is damaged, place a piece of moisture barrier over <br />damaged area (6" (150mm) larger all around) and tape in place with type <br />of tape recommended by moisture barrier manufacturer. <br />6.Seal laps and intersections of walls with compatible trowel mastic or <br />pressure-sensitive sealing tape.
