Accelerated Weathering: Roof membrane shall withstand 2000 hours of <br />exposure when tested according to ASTM G 152, ASTM G 154, or <br />ASTM G 155. <br />2. Impact Resistance: Roof membrane shall resist impact damage when tested <br />according to ASTM D 3746/D 3746M, ASTM D 4272/D 4272M, or the <br />"Resistance to Foot Traffic Test" in FM Approvals 4470. <br />B. Material Compatibility: Roofing materials shall be compatible with one another and <br />adjacent materials under conditions of service and application required, as <br />demonstrated by roof membrane manufacturer based on testing and field <br />experience. <br />C. Hurricane-Resistance Test Performance: Provide roofing systems that pass testing <br />requirements of authorities having jurisdiction. <br />1. Comply with the Florida Building Code, 2014 Edition. <br />2. Provide roof assemblies accepted by Miami-Dade County Building and <br />Neighborhood Compliance Department or complying with performance <br />requirements as tested by entities listed with the Florida Building Code <br />Commission. <br />D. Exterior Fire-Test Exposure: ASTM E 108 or UL 790, Class A; for application and <br />roof slopes indicated; testing by a qualified testing agency. <br />1. Identify products with appropriate markings of applicable testing agency. <br />2.2 MANUFACTURERS <br />A. Basis-of-Design Product: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide GAF; <br />Ruberoid Modified Bitumen Roof System for Concrete Decks (NOA No.: 15-1001.04) <br />or comparable product by one of the following: <br />1. Firestone Building Products. <br />2. Henry Company. <br />3. Johns Manville; a Berkshire Hathaway company. <br />4. Soprema, Inc. <br />B. Source Limitations: Obtain components for roofing system from roof membrane <br />manufacturer or manufacturer approved by roof membrane manufacturer. <br />2.3 BASE SHEET MATERIALS <br />A. Vented Base Sheet: ASTM D 4897/D 4897M, Type II, venting, nonperforated, <br />asphalt-impregnated and -coated, glass-fiber base sheet with mineral granule <br />surfacing on bottom surface.
