Schedule: Provide a schedule of hollow-metal work prepared by or under the <br />supervision of supplier, using same reference numbers for details and openings as <br />those on Drawings. Coordinate with final Door Hardware Schedule. <br />1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver hollow-metal work palletized, packaged, or crated to provide protection <br />during transit and Project-site storage. Do not use nonvented plastic. <br />1. Provide additional protection to prevent damage to factory-finished units. <br />B. Deliver welded frames with two removable spreader bars across bottom of frames, <br />tack welded to jambs and mullions. <br />C. Store hollow-metal work vertically under cover at Project site with head up. Place <br />on minimum 4-inch- high wood blocking. Provide minimum 1/4-inch space between <br />each stacked door to permit air circulation. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 MANUFACTURERS <br />A. Source Limitations: Obtain hollow-metal work from single source from single <br />manufacturer. <br />2.2 INTERIOR DOORS AND FRAMES <br />A. Construct interior doors and frames to comply with the standards indicated for <br />materials, fabrication, hardware locations, hardware reinforcement, tolerances, and <br />clearances, and as specified. <br />B. Extra-Heavy-Duty Doors and Frames: SDI A250.8, Level 3. <br />1. Physical Performance: Level A according to SDI A250.4. <br />2. Doors: <br />a. Type: As indicated in the Door and Frame Schedule. <br />b. Thickness: 1-3/4 inches. <br />c. Face: Uncoated, cold-rolled steel sheet, minimum thickness of 0.053 <br />inch. <br />d. Edge Construction: Model 2, Seamless. <br />e. Core: Manufacturer's standard kraft-paper honeycomb, mineral-board, <br />or vertical steel-stiffener core at manufacturer's discretion. <br />3. Frames: <br />a. Materials: Uncoated, steel sheet, minimum thickness of 0.053 inch. <br />b. Construction: Full profile welded.
