Performance Requirements 2017 Florida Commercial Energy Code Prescriptive <br />Compliance: <br />a. Visible Light Transmittance: Match Existing. <br />b. Exterior (Vis-Out) Reflectance: Match Existing. <br />c. U Factor 0.50 overall window assembly. <br />d. Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) 0.25 overall window assembly. <br />e. Light to Solar Gain Ratio: Match Existing. <br />2.3 GLASS PRODUCTS, GENERAL <br />A. Glazing Publications: Comply with published recommendations of glass product <br />manufacturers and organizations below unless more stringent requirements are <br />indicated. See these publications for glazing terms not otherwise defined in this <br />Section or in referenced standards. <br />1. GANA Publications: "Laminated Glazing Reference Manual" and "Glazing <br />Manual." <br />2. IGMA Publication for Insulating Glass: SIGMA TM-3000, "North American <br />Glazing Guidelines for Sealed Insulating Glass Units for Commercial and <br />Residential Use." <br />B. Insulating-Glass Certification Program: Permanently marked either on spacers or on <br />at least one component lite of units with appropriate certification label of IGCC. <br />C. Thickness: Where glass thickness is indicated, it is a minimum. Provide glass that <br />complies with performance requirements and is not less than the thickness <br />indicated. <br />1. Minimum Glass Thickness for Exterior Lites: 6 mm. <br />D. Strength: Where annealed float glass is indicated, provide annealed float glass, <br />heat-strengthened float glass, or fully tempered float glass as needed to comply <br />with "Performance Requirements" Arti cle. Where heat-strengthened float glass is <br />indicated, provide heat-strengthened float glass or fully tempered float glass as <br />needed to comply with "Performance Requirements" Article. Where fully tempered <br />float glass is indicated, provide fully tempered float glass. <br />E. Safety Glazing Products: Comply with testing requirements in 16 CFR 1201. <br />1. Subject to compliance with requirements, obtain safety glazing products <br />permanently marked with certification label of the Safety Glazing Certification <br />Council or another certification agency or manufacturer acceptable to <br />authorities having jurisdiction. <br />2. Where glazing units, including Kind FT glass and laminated glass, are <br />specified in Part 2 articles for glazing lites more than 9 sq. ft. in exposed <br />surface area of one side, provide glazing products that comply with <br />Category II materials, for lites 9 sq. ft. or less in exposed surface area of one <br />side, provide glazing products that comply with Category I or II materials,
