Examine glass surfaces adjacent to or below exterior concrete and other masonry <br />surfaces at frequent intervals during construction, but not less than once a month, <br />for buildup of dirt, scum, alkaline deposits, or stains; remove as recommended in <br />writing by glass manufacturer. <br />D. Remove and replace glass that is broken, chipped, cracked, or abraded or that is <br />damaged from natural causes, accidents, and vandalism, during construction <br />period. <br />E. Wash glass on both exposed surfaces in each area of Project not more than four <br />days before date scheduled for inspections that establish date of Substantial <br />Completion. Wash glass as recommended in writing by glass manufacturer. <br />3.7 LAMINATED GLASS SCHEDULE <br />A. Glass Type GL-2: Clear laminated glass with two plies of annealed float glass with <br />applied security film. <br />1. Minimum Thickness of Each Glass Ply: 6 mm. <br />2. Interlayer Thickness: 0.030 inch. <br />3. Safety glazing required. <br />4. Security Film: Madico, Inc.; Safety & Security Window Film CL-800. <br />3.8 INSULATING-LAMINATED GLASS UNITS <br />A. Insulating Laminated Low E Coated Hurricane Resistant Glass: <br />1. 1-5/16” Insulating Laminated Coated Glass as manufactured by Viracon. <br />a. Exterior Glass Ply: 1/4” thick Tempered color to match Existing. <br />b. Coating: Viracon Low E on #2 surface. <br />c. Airspace: 1/2” aluminum black painted finish. <br />d. Silicone: black. <br />e. Interior Glass Ply 1: 1/4” Clear heat treated. <br />f. Interlayer: Kind and thickness as tested in the combined assembly for <br />hurricane resistance. <br />g.
