Source Limitations: Obtain stretched-fabric ceiling systems specified in this <br />Section and stretched-fabric wall systems specified in Section 09 77 13 "Stretched- <br />Fabric Wall Systems" from single source from single manufacturer. <br />2.2 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Fire-Test-Response Characteristics: Stretched-fabric ceiling systems shall comply <br />with "Surface-Burning Characteristics" or "Fire Growth Contribution" Subparagraph <br />below, or both, as determined by testing identical products by UL or another testing <br />and inspecting agency acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction: <br />1. Surface-Burning Characteristics: Comply with ASTM E 84 or UL 723; testing <br />by a qualified testing agency on systems prepared according to ASTM E 2573. <br />Identify products with appropriate markings of applicable testing agency. <br />a. Flame-Spread Index: 25 or less. <br />b. Smoke-Developed Index: 450 or less. <br />2. Fire Growth Contribution: Comply with acceptance criteria of local code and <br />authorities having jurisdiction when tested according to NFPA 286. <br />2.3 STRETCHED-FABRIC CEILING SYSTEMS <br />A. AWP, Stretched-Fabric Ceiling System: Manufacturer's standard system consisting <br />of facing material stretched tightly over a frame and core material and secured in <br />the frame. <br />1. Basis-of-Design Product: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide <br />Novawall Systems, Inc.; EcoTRACK or comparable product by one of the <br />following: <br />a. Accutrack Systems. <br />b. Architectural Fabric Systems, Inc. <br />c. SoftWalls, Inc. <br />d. Whisper Walls. <br />2. Core: Glass-fiber board. <br />3. Frame Edge: Profile as shown. <br />a. Fabric-Insertion Point: Bottom load. <br />b. Nominal Frame Thickness: Match nominal core thickness. <br />4. Frame Color: Natural. <br />5. Facing Material: As indicated on Drawings. <br />6. Acoustical Performance: Sound absorption NRC or SAA of 0.75 according to <br />ASTM C 423 for Type A mounting according to ASTM E 795.
