Portland Cement: ASTM C 150/C 150M, Type I or Type II. <br />1. Low-Alkali Cement: Not more than 0.60 percent total alkali when tested <br />according to ASTM C 114. <br />B. Hydrated Lime: ASTM C 207, Type S. <br />C. Aggregate: ASTM C 144. <br />D. Water: Potable. <br />2.5 STONE ANCHORS AND ATTACHMENTS <br />A. Fabricate anchors from extruded aluminum, ASTM B 221, Alloy 6063-T6. <br />1. Fasteners for Extruded-Aluminum Anchors: Annealed stainless-steel bolts, <br />nuts, and washers; ASTM F 593 for bolts and ASTM F 594 for nuts, Alloy <br />Group 1. <br />B. Direct-Mount Anchoring Systems: Stainless-steel or aluminum stone anchors <br />designed to be applied directly to wall surfaces . System is secured to wall framing, <br />furring, or sheet-metal reinforcing strips built into wall with self-drilling screws. <br />Anchors fit into kerfs or holes in edges of stone panels. <br />1. Products: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide one of the <br />following: <br />a. Halfen Anchoring Systems; Meadow Burke. <br />b. Heckmann Building Products Inc. <br />c. Hohmann & Barnard, Inc. <br />2.6 STONE ACCESSORIES <br />A. Temporary Setting Shims: Rigid plastic shims, nonstaining to stone, sized to suit <br />joint thickness. <br />B. Setting Shims for Direct-Mount Anchoring Systems: Strips of resilient plastic or <br />neoprene, nonstaining to stone, of thickness needed to prevent point loading of <br />stone on anchors and of depths to suit anchors without intruding into required <br />depths of pointing materials. <br />C. Cleaner: Stone cleaner specifically formulated for stone types, finishes, and <br />applications indicated, as recommended by stone producer. Do not use cleaning <br />compounds containing acids, caustics, harsh fillers, or abrasives.
