Install and operate temporary lighting that fulfills security and protection <br />requirements without operating entire system. <br />I. Telephone Service: Provide temporary telephone service in common -use facilities <br />for use by all construction personnel. Install WiFi cell phone access equipment. <br />1. Printer: "All-in-one" unit equipped with printer server, combining color <br />printing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing, or separate units for each of <br />these three functions. <br />2. Internet Service: Broadband modem, router and ISP, equipped with hardware <br />firewall, providing minimum 1.0Mbps upload and 15 Mbps download speeds at <br />each computer. <br />3. Internet Security: Integrated software, providing software firewall, virus, <br />spyware, phishing, and spam protection in a combined application. <br />4. Backup: External hard drive, minimum 2 terrabyte, with automated backup <br />software providing daily backups. <br />3.4 SUPPORT FACILITIES INSTALLATION <br />A. General: Comply with the following: <br />1. Provide construction for temporary offices, shops, and sheds located within <br />construction area or within 30 feet of building lines that is noncombustible <br />according to ASTM E 136. Comply with NFPA 241. <br />2. Maintain support facilities until Architect schedules Substantial Completion <br />inspection. Remove before Substantial Completion. Personnel remaining after <br />Substantial Completion will be permitted to use permanent facilities, under <br />conditions acceptable to Owner. <br />B. Temporary Roads and Paved Areas: Construct and maintain temporary roads paved <br />areas, or access drives adequate for construction operations. Locate or utilize <br />temporary roads and paved areas within construction limits indicated. <br />1. Provide dust-control treatment that is nonpolluting and nontracking. Reapply <br />treatment as required to minimize dust. <br />C. Traffic Controls: Comply with requirements of authorities having jurisdiction. <br />1. Protect existing site improvements to remain including curbs, pavement, and <br />utilities. <br />2. Maintain access for fire-fighting equipment and access to fire hydrants. <br />D. Parking: Provide parking areas for construction personnel. <br />E. Dewatering Facilities and Drains: Comply with requirements of authorities having <br />jurisdiction. Maintain Project site, excavations, and construction free of water. <br />1. Dispose of rainwater in a lawful manner that will not result in flooding Project <br />or adjoining properties or endanger permanent Work or temporary facilities. <br />2. Remove snow and ice as required to minimize accumulations.
