Londono, HR & Risk Management Director <br /> DATE: 2/21/2019 <br /> RE: Drug-Free Workplace Program Policy Amendments <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission consider the attached <br /> resolution approving the City of Sunny Isles Beach Drug-Free <br /> Workplace Policy, as amended. <br /> REASONS: <br /> The City of Sunny Isles Beach is a sub-recipient of the American <br /> Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant funds administered <br /> through Miami-Dade Transit (MDT). MDT is the grantee of the Federal <br /> Transit Administration (FTA). All sub-recipients are required to have a <br /> Drug-Free Workplace Program Policy that include specific elements <br /> covered in the FTA Regulations 49CFR Part 655. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> In order to assess compliance with the FTA Regulations 49CFR Part <br /> 655, the FTA conducted a audit of the City's Drug and Alcohol <br /> Program.
