The proposed senate bill addresses several <br /> components of identifying and eliminating human trafficking including <br /> requiring owners/operators of public lodging establishments to create <br /> company policies and train employees who interact with guests on <br /> techniques to identify, prevent and report suspected instances of <br /> human trafficking; requiring the Department of Children and Families to <br /> establish a direct-support organization; and strengthening the penalties <br /> for persons convicted of soliciting another to commit prostitution. <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> Description <br /> Resolution <br /> Senate Bill 540- Human Trafficking <br /> Item Number: 10.K. <br /> L <br /> 170 <br />
