Ms. Hoshihara currently serves as general counsel tothe Florida E-Filing Authority, Florida Local Government Investment Trust and the GulfConsortium. Ms. Hoshihara has past and present experience providing the full gamut ofgeneral counsel services and would bring a clear understanding of the issues and needs facingthe City.Neither Mr. Dion nor Ms. Hoshihara have any prior scheduled commitments that wouldconflict with the City's regularly scheduled meetings. In the event such scheduling conflictarises, we will coordinate with the Mayor and City staff in advance to accommodate the City'sneeds.Conflicts of InterestNG&N generally only represents governmental entities/ so that we do not anticipate anyconflicts of interest or ethical considerations related to our representation of or our affiliationwith any boards, organizations, committees or clients. Although we are a local government lawfirm, we do not serve as the city attorney for any other municipalities in Miami-Dade Countyand therefore do not anticipate any conflicts of interest with our other governmental clients.If it does, the Firm will seek a waiver of the conflict and will otherwise act in accordance withthe Florida Bar's Rules of Professional Responsibility.Local Business Tax/Occupational License(s)Mr. Dion currently maintains local business tax/occupational licenses for the City of FortLauderdale and for Broward County, which are attached as Appendix 0. If necessary, Mr. Dionwill obtain a local business tax/occupational license in Miami-Dade County.Proposed Fee ScheduleNG&N will strive to provide top quality representation to the City of Sunny Isles Beach atan economic price. In order to remove uncertainty as to the types of legal services included andprovide ease of budgeting, NG&N proposes a lump sum annual retainer arrangement with theCity. NG&N proposes an annual retainer in the amount of $120/000, which would be payable intwelve equal monthly installments. This retainer would cover all general representation of theCity. The scope of general representation provided would include the representation of theCity Commission at all meetings and workshops, the provision of legal advice and guidance tothe Mayor, the City Commission/ the City Manager and City staff, and preparation ofordinances, resolutions and opinions.
