<br />His primary areas of practice include employment litigation, labor law, and
<br />commercial litigation. In the labor and employment field, Mr. Kantor handles
<br />discrimination charges and lawsuits brought against public and private entities
<br />pursuant to state and federal anti -discrimination and wage and hour laws,
<br />including Title VII, the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, the Florida Civil Rights Act, and
<br />the Florida Whistle -blower's Act, Mr. Kantor also litigates unfair competition cases
<br />involving enforcement of non -compete agreements and misappropriation of trade
<br />secrets. He advises local governments and corporate clients with respect to
<br />employee discipline, retention and termination, employment manuals and policies,
<br />and contract interpretation.
<br />Prior to joining us, Mr. Kantor practiced at one of the nation's largest labor and
<br />employment law firms and has several years of experience defending director and
<br />officer, errors and omissions, and professional liability lawsuits. He graduated from
<br />Nova Southeastern University Law School, where he was appointed to the Order
<br />of the Barrister in recognition of his superior advocacy skills. Asa leader in the
<br />Moot Court Honor Society and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America,
<br />Mr. Kantor participated in several nationwide appellate advocacy and mock trial
<br />competitions.
