42
City of Sunny Isles Beach
RFP No. 19-02-01
March 4, 2019
b. Identify any potential conflicts of interest that the Firm might incur while rendering services.

GrayRobinson is not aware of any current potential conflict of interest that might arise from our additional
representation on behalf of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The Firm will take necessary steps to avoid
conflicts of interest in the future.

If a potential conflict arises, we will seek a waiver from one or both of the above clients. However, if for
some reason a waiver or agreement cannot be reached, we will address the issue and withdraw, if that is
necessary. The honor of representing the City of Sunny Isles Beach is one that we take seriously, and we
will do all that is necessary to ensure the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s interests are not impacted by our
concurrent representation of other clients.

GrayRobinson conflict checks are processed centrally for all offices. A completed new client/matter form is
electronically submitted to GrayRobinson’s conflict department, where a preliminary list of pending clients
and matters is compiled and distributed daily to the entire Firm. Party names listed on the new client matter
form, including known acronyms and well-known variations, are entered into the client/matter database for
possible matches. Results of the data comparison are reviewed and analyzed. If there is a match, the
attorney submitting the new client/matter form discusses possible conflict with the attorney handling the
existing client or matter. A determination is made with regard to any conflicts and a new client/matter is
opened or declined, as appropriate. If there is no match in data, a new client/matter is immediately opened.
