RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - Z.V1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A PLANNING STUDY BY CALVIN, GIORDANO, AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS OVER COLLINS AVENUE AT 174TH STREET, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on July 19, 2018, via Resolution No. 2018-2848, the City Commission authorized the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an agreement with Miami-Dade County Transportation and Planning Organization to accept grant funds for a planning and feasibility study ("study") for a pedestrian overpass across Collins Avenue at 174th Street; and WHEREAS, on January 19, 2017, via Resolution No. 2017-2654 the City Commission approved an Agreement with Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc. for Professional Planning and Zoning Services; and WHEREAS,'on August 29, 2018, the City Manager approved Work Authorization No. 197 submitted by Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc. to conduct the study; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to approve the pedestrian overpass study prepared by Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Planning Study. The City Commission hereby approves the planning study prepared by Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc., attached hereto as Exhibit"A". Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
