Gateway Park is located at 151 Sunny Isles Blvd, Sunny <br /> Isles Beach, FL 33160.The Gateway Park renovations are intended to result in a Community Center. <br /> The indoor facility will include, but not limited to office space, reception area, multi-purpose rooms <br /> that can accommodate classes, meetings, banquets, and an indoor stage, a catering kitchen, arts <br /> &crafts space, restrooms, and storage area, totaling approximately 17,039 square feet.Time is of <br /> the essence for the performance of this work.The intention of the Community Center is to promote <br /> the City and provide a destination for residents and visitors alike. The Contractor by submitting a <br /> bid hereby declares that it has extensive experience in successfully completing projects similar to <br /> this one. <br /> 2.2 AGENT FOR OWNER <br /> 0 Perkins+Will, the Consulting Architect, shall serve as agent for The City of Sunny Isles Beach in all <br /> matters pertaining to the work on this project. No changes in the work or extra charges to the <br /> Contract are effective until recommended by the Architect and approved by the Owner in the <br /> form of a written change order. <br /> 2.3 NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND ADDENDUMS <br /> A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Sunny Isles <br /> Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160, 1st Floor <br /> Conference Room to discuss the special conditions and specifications included within this <br /> solicitation. Bidders are requested to bring this solicitation document to the conference, as <br /> additional copies may not be available. <br /> A site walk-thru will be conducted immediately following the pre-bid conference to allow bidders <br /> to gain familiarity with the site and the existing infrastructure. <br /> 2.4 METHOD OF AWARD <br /> The term"lowest responsible and responsive Bidder"as used herein shall mean the Bidder whose <br /> bid is the lowest of those Bidders possessing the skill, ability and integrity necessary for the faithful <br /> performance of the work, whose bid best serves the interests of and represents the best value to <br /> the City, as determined by the City Commission and/or the City Manager.
