� I RESOLUTION NO. 2019-2l 42- • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS UP TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($85,000.00) WITH LYNN M. DANNHEISSER, LLC FOR LEGAL CONSULTATION SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on February 21St, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-2923 the City Commission eliminated the in-house legal department and began the transition to an outside legal firm; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2019-2923 provided the Mayor and City Manager with an after-the-fact authorization to retain outside legal consultation services to assist with the transition; and WHEREAS, Lynn M. Dannheisser, having the necessary public and private sector legal experience, demonstrated her ability and desire to assist the City during the transition period; and WHEREAS, the City now wishes to ratify the expenditure of budgeted funds up to an amount not to exceed Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars($85,000.00)with Lynn M. Dannheisser,LLC for legal consultation services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 Ratification and Approval of Expenditure of Budgeted Funds. The City Commission hereby ratifies and approves the expenditure of budgeted funds up to an amount not to exceed Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars ($85,000.00) with Lynn M. Dannheisser, LLC for legal consultation services. Section 2. Authorization City Manager.The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
