Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Sylvia Flores, Cultural & Community Services Director <br /> DATE: 5/16/2019 <br /> RE: First Amendment to Agreement with Otis Elevator <br /> Company for Maintenance of City Elevators <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission approve this First <br /> Amendment to the Agreement with Otis Elevator Company, for <br /> maintenance of City elevators in Gateway Park, Government Center, <br /> Heritage Park, and Pelican Community Park. <br /> REASONS: <br /> In early 2017, City staff researched options for elevator maintenance. <br /> After reviewing multiple proposals, it was recommended and approved <br /> to enter into an agreement with Otis Elevator Company as they were <br /> the most responsive and responsible vendor. The initial contract was <br /> for a two-year term, with three optional one-year renewals. The vendor <br /> is providing a discount to the City for renewing for all three years at <br /> once. The savings totals $2,520 over the three years of the agreement. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> This maintenance agreement covers all elevators at City facilities with <br /> the exception of the Gateway Pedestrian Bridge, which is under a <br /> separate contract with ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation (the <br /> manufacturer of the elevators). <br /> FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> 28 <br />
