Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Sylvia Flores, Director of Cultural & Community Services <br /> DATE: 5/16/2019 <br /> Third Amendment to the Agreement with Academy Bus <br /> RE: LLC for Transportation Services <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission approve this item for <br /> renewal of the agreement with Academy Bus LLC for providing <br /> transportation services for our Winter Break, Spring Break, and <br /> Summer Camp programs. <br /> REASONS: <br /> In 2016, the City issued a bid for transportation services, Bid No. 16- <br /> 03-01. After review, it was determined that Academy Bus LLC was the <br /> lowest responsible, responsive bidder. The City Commission approved <br /> entering into an agreement for two years, with three optional one-year <br /> renewals. This amendment is to exercise the second option to renew, <br /> for the period of June 2019 through June 2020. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> During the past three years of this agreement with Academy Bus LLC, <br /> the vendor has only requested one price increase, based on the latest <br /> CPI (Consumer Price Index). That was approved in February 2019. <br /> The current rate for transportation services for this agreement is $79.67 <br /> per hour. We anticipate spending approximately $52,000 for the year, <br /> but our request is for an approval up to $60,000 for any miscellaneous <br /> trips or extenuating circumstances that could create longer trip times. <br /> 45 <br />
