RESOLUTION NO. 2019- 21 43 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br /> ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) <br /> NEW POLICE VEHICLES AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT, IN AN <br /> AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND <br /> THREE HUNDRED FORTY-SIX DOLLARS AND SEVENTY-EIGHT CENTS <br /> ($180,346.78), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department rotates a portion of the Police <br /> Fleet annually to assure the safety and reliability of its equipment to our Police Officers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department now needs to purchase the four (4) Police vehicles <br /> and associated equipment, utilizing Florida Sheriffs Association Contract No. #18-VEL26.0, in <br /> an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Six Dollars and <br /> Seventy-Eight Cents ($180,346.78), attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff determined that the above price is reasonable and customary for said <br /> purchase and recommends that the City Commission approve the purchase. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Authorizing the Purchase of Police Vehicles. The City Commission hereby <br /> authorizes the purchase of four (4) Police vehicles and associated equipment, Florida Sheriffs <br /> Association Contract No. #18-VEL26.0, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eighty <br /> Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Six Dollars and Seventy-Eight Cents ($180,346.78), attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
