RESOLUTION NO. 2018 _ 2`1SZ <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA AWARDING <br /> INVITATION TO BID NO. 19-01-01 FOR THE GATEWAY PARK <br /> CENTER PROJECT TO, AND APPROVING AN AGREEMENT <br /> WITH, NUNEZ CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT <br /> TO EXCEED SIX MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY- <br /> THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SIX DOLLARS <br /> ($6,723,586.00), ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID <br /> AGREEMENT AND TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised Invitation to Bid ("ITB") No. 19-01-01 for <br /> the Gateway Park Center project and received six (6) responses, and it was determined that <br /> Nunez Construction, Inc. ("Contractor") was the lowest responsible, responsive bidder; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Contractor, Inc. isqualified, willingand able to provide the Services on <br /> the terms and conditions in the Agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to award ITB No. 19-01-01 to, and enter into an Agreement <br /> with, Nunez Construction, Inc. for the Gateway Park Center project, in a total amount not to <br /> exceed Six Million Seven Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-Six Dollars <br /> ($6,723,586.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Award of RFP No. 18-03-01 and Approval of Agreement. The CityCommission <br /> PP g <br /> herebyapproves the award of ITB No. 19-01-01 to, and enter into an Agreement with, Nunez g <br /> Construction, Inc. for the Gateway Park Center project, in a total amount not to exceed Six <br /> Million Seven Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-Six Dollars <br /> ($6,723,586.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute <br /> said agreement and to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
