<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | RFP Bella Vista Park Dock Reconstruction 19-07-01 13 <br /> <br />Contractor(s) to furnish to them insurance certificates similar to those required by the City <br />in this section. <br /> <br /> 2.9.3 Worker’s Compensation Insurance <br />Worker's Compensation Insurance for statutory obligations imposed by Worker's <br />Compensation or Occupational Disease Laws, including, where applicable, the United States <br />Longshoremen's and Harbor Worker's Act, the Federal Employers’ Liability Act and the Homes <br />Act. Employer's Liability Insurance shall be provided with a minimum of One Hundred <br />Thousand and 00/100 dollars ($100,000.00) per accident. Bidder agrees to be responsible <br />for the employment, conduct and control of its employees and for any injury sustained by <br />such employees in the course of their employment <br /> <br />2.9.4 Environmental Pollution Insurance <br /> <br /> The Contractor shall carry an Environmental Pollution Insurance for pollution-related <br /> incidents, including the cost of cleaning up a site after a pollution incident, with limits not <br /> less than $500,000.00 Dollars per occurrence with deductible not greater than <br /> $100,000.00. An additional Form or endorsement to the Commercial General Liability <br /> Insurance to include an Environmental Pollution Insurance coverage providing the <br /> specified coverage, is acceptable. <br /> <br /> 2.9.5 Cancellation and Re-Insurance <br />If any insurance should be cancelled or changed by the insurance company or should any <br />insurance expire during the period of this contract, the Consultant shall be responsible for <br />securing other acceptable insurance to provide the coverage specified in this section to <br />maintain coverage during the life of this Contract. All deductibles must be declared by the <br />Bidder and must be approved by the City. At the option of the City, either the Bidder shall <br />eliminate or reduce such deductible or the Bidder shall procure a Bond, in a form <br />satisfactory to the City, covering the same. <br /> <br /> NOTE: THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, CONTRACT NUMBER AND TITLE MUST <br /> APPEAR ON EACH CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE. THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br /> MUST BE SHOWN AS AN ADDITIONAL INSURED WITH RESPECT TO THIS COVERAGE. <br /> <br />2.10 EXAMINATION OF SITE <br /> <br />Each proposer shall visit the site of the proposed work before submitting a proposal and shall fully <br />familiarize themselves with conditions relating to construction and labor so that he or she may fully <br />understand the facilities, difficulties and restrictions attending the execution of work under the <br />Contract. It will be assumed that the Bidder has investigated and is satisfied as to the conditions <br />of work to be performed and materials to be furnished and shall base Bid on their own opinion of <br />the conditions likely to be encountered, and for the bid price must assume all risk of variance, by <br />whomsoever made in any computation or statement of amounts or quantities necessary to fully <br />complete the work in strict compliance with the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Each proposer shall thoroughly examine and be familiar with the plans and specifications.
