Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting February 20.2014 City of Sunny Isles Beach.Florida <br /> and does not disagree with her and to her credit she basically put it on the table and said let's <br /> clarify it, and he is clearer now. Ms. Dannheisser said it was a little precipitous in that she <br /> wanted to come back next month and get your guidance but now we have done it and so we <br /> will just focus on the things we didn't discuss tonight. <br /> City Manager Russo said then is he clear on saying we should go forward with the total <br /> private board independent people? Commissioner Levin said she does not know who is <br /> going to pay for it, and Mayor Edelcup said it is not going to be the City,that is your answer. <br /> Commissioner Levin said before any additional costs and expenses that need to be incurred <br /> in order to move it forward. Ms. Dannheisser said the cost of filing is going to be paid by the <br /> City but that is the extent of it. Mayor Edelcup said we are talking about $1,500 - $2,000. <br /> City Manager Russo said the Consultant and even Legal work to file it is covered by this but <br /> not our filing costs,etc. City Attorney Ottinot said the legal costs which basically he helped <br /> the Senior Group, was less than $2,000. It was a $500 fee for the attorney, and there was <br /> $800 for the IRS fee. Mayor Edelcup said because this came up we have finally determined <br /> that an elected official should not be on this board. We need to look at a resolution that says <br /> in the future no elected official should serve on any board that is a recipient of any funding <br /> from the City or in-kind contributions. City Attorney Ottinot said that should be an <br /> Ordinance, and Mayor Edelcup asked that he bring that Ordinance forward. <br /> 13. CITIZENS' FORUM: REQUESTS, PETITIONS & OTHER COMMUNICATIONS <br /> None <br /> 14.
