Provide an overview of how your firm will address the two phases outlined in this
RFP, including the company names and credentials for any subconsultants that
would be used in Phase 1:
i. Phase 1 – Marketing Research and Investigation
ii. Phase 2 – Brand Development and Execution
Phase 1 – Marketing Research and Investigation.
The first step in helping Sunny Isles create a clear, compelling brand identity, including logo,
font, color and layout guidelines, is to clarify what exactly is a brand.
A brand is not a logo. It’s not a color choice or font selection. A brand is the emotional
connection that a target audience forms with your entity. The logo, color selection, font, and
graphic layout are merely symbols that serve to instantly remind your audience of this larger
emotional connection.
What this means is that our first step in developing a brand identity for Sunny Isles will be to
define the brand.
Who are you?
What do your current target audiences think of you?
What would you ultimately like them to think of you?
Is there a clear path from where your target audiences are to where you’d like them to be?
These are just a few of the issues that we will addressed through both internal workshops
and external executive interview research. The process will also clarify what you would like
your brand to be and how you would like your target audiences to react to it. We call this the
“Destination Brand.”
