CRAIG USTLER <br />PRESIDENT <br />USTLER DEVELOPMENT, INC. <br />Craig Ustler, MAI, CCIM is the Owner and President of Ustler <br />Development, Inc., a real estate development company and Vice <br />President of Ustler Properties, Inc., a commercial real estate brokerage <br />company. In addition to being a sponsor of the Creative Village <br />Apartments, Ustler also leads the master development team for <br />Creative Village. Ustler is an experienced and seasoned owner, <br />investor, developer and broker of various property types. He has <br />extensive experience in land sales, urban planning and highest and <br />best use analysis. For the past several years, Ustler has focused on <br />urban infill projects as advocated by the “new urbanism” planning <br />movement. In particular, recent projects have been concentrated in <br />Downtown Orlando neighborhoods including the Central Business <br />District, North Quarter, Thornton Park, Creative Village and Florida <br />Hospital Health Village. Ustler has developed numerous projects <br />collectively valued at over $200 million. <br />Ustler received the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and <br />holds the CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real <br />Estate Institute. His educational background includes a Master of <br />Real Estate and Urban Analysis from the University of Florida and a <br />Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a major in Urban Economics and a <br />minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida. She is <br />actively involved with several community organizations and she <br />recently served as Vice Chair of Project DTO, the Mayor’s task <br />force charged with updating Downtown Orlando’s strategic plan. <br />HELEN MARTINEZ <br />PRESIDENT <br />BLACK ELK GROUP <br />Helen Martinez is an attorney and entrepreneur who founded <br />Black Elk Group in 2017. Black Elk Group is a commercial real <br />estate development, investment and consulting firm located in <br />Downtown Orlando. Prior to founding Black Elk Group, Helen built <br />a Saas-based company focused on the financial due diligence <br />sector, which she sold to a public financial services firm in New <br />York in late 2014. Helen also practiced law for nearly a decade in <br />private practice and as in-house counsel. Helen served as <br />Corporate Counsel for CNL Capital Markets Corp. and Corporate <br />Capital Trust, where she oversaw all selling syndicate and SEC/ <br />FINRA related matters. Helen was also a member of the litigation <br />and real estate practice groups at Greenberg Traurig, P.A. <br />Helen earned her Juris Doctor from Florida State University <br />College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science <br />from Wake Forest University. <br /> In 2012, Helen was inducted into the Bar of the United States <br />Supreme Court. She is also a member of the Florida Bar and the <br />U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Helen is <br />active in Downtown Orlando and has served on many boards <br />including the Advisory Board for Athena International. <br />38
