RESOLUTION NO. 2019- 29 VS- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE <br /> EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT <br /> NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-TWO THOUSAND EIGHT <br /> HUNDRED FOURTEEN DOLLARS AND NINETY-ONE <br /> CENTS ($72,814.91) FOR THE PURCHASE OF SOFTWARE <br /> LICENSING AND/OR PRODUCTS FROM SUPERION, LLC. <br /> FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019/2020 FOR POLICE SOFTWARE <br /> SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on May 18, 2006, via Resolution No. 2006-919 the City Commission <br /> approved an agreement with SunGard HTE, Inc. (SunGard) to obtain a perpetual, non-exclusive, <br /> nontransferable license for the use of certain computer software and related software technical <br /> support services to assist the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department in the implementation of the <br /> System; and <br /> WHEREAS, this state-of-the-art Police computer system provides the Police Department <br /> with a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System, Records Management System (RMS), Mobile <br /> Computing Terminals (MCT) and a Mobile Field Reporting (MFR) System; and <br /> WHEREAS, this proprietary software solution has proven to be the leader in public <br /> safety software in Miami-Dade County as well as many other cities and states throughout the <br /> country; and <br /> WHEREAS, SunGard HTE, Inc. (SunGard) legally changed its corporate name to <br /> Superion, LLC.; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to expend budgeted funds in an amount not to exceed <br /> Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hundred g Fourteen Dollars and Ninety-One Cents ($72,814.91) to <br /> allow staff to contract with Superion, LLC. for Fiscal Year ear 2019/2020 for the annuals software <br /> are <br /> maintenance and support for these critical Police Department systems. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval of Expenditure. The City Commission hereby approves the expenditure <br /> of budgeted funds in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Fourteen <br /> Dollars and ne Ninet -OCents to allow staff <br /> Y ($72,814.91) to contract with Superion,p on, Inc. for <br /> Fiscal Year 2019/2020 for the Police Department <br /> Software System Maintenance and Support. <br /> Section 2. <br /> Authorization of City <br /> Manager.g The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> R2019-Superion Police Software Expend Annual Maintenance Page 1 of 2 <br />
