RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 294 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br /> REAPPOINTING RAFAEL E. SUAREZ-RIVAS AS SPECIAL <br /> MAGISTRATE FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR, IN <br /> ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 14-3 OF THE CODE OF <br /> ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 14-3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> provides that appointments of Special Magistrates shall be made by the City Manager,as needed,on <br /> the basis of experience for a term of one year; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Section 14-3 of the City Code provides that appointments shall be <br /> submitted to the City Commission for ratification; and <br /> WHEREAS,Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas was re-appointed last year as Special Magistrate; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City being satisfied with his excellent work,wishes to ratify the appointment <br /> of Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas as Special Magistrate for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Reappointment of Special Magistrate. The City Commission hereby ratifies the City <br /> Manager's reappointment of Rafael E. Suarez-Rivas as Special Magistrate for a period of one year, <br /> in accordance with Section 14-3 of the City Code. <br /> Section 2. Effective Date.
