Section 3 <br /> • <br /> Scope of Services / Technical Specifications <br /> 3.1 PURPOSE <br /> . The City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") with its principal address located at 18070 Collins <br /> . - - . Avenue, Sunny isles Beach, FL 33160 hereby solicits Request for Proposals from experienced and <br /> qualified branding firms (the"Firm") to plan and execute a re-branding campaign for the City that <br /> includes research, branding, design and related services. The focus of this proposal will be on <br /> branding the municipal government, and the community it serves based on research and <br /> guidelines provided by the City and the awarded firm. This comprehensive branding campaign <br /> will provide the City with a modern, elevated, and classic brand identity. This campaign will <br /> focus on branding the City of Sunny Isles Beach as a residential community. The awarded firm of <br /> this RFP may be selected to complete part or all of the work herein described. <br /> 3.2 GOALS FOR RE-BRANDING <br /> • The City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking a more modern, timely, and sophisticated brand. The <br /> brand should emanate uniformity, community identity, and adaptability. This brand should be co- <br /> created with involvement from the community, which includes residents, employees, and <br /> stakeholders. <br /> • <br /> The goal of this re-branding campaign is to create a unified and identifiable look that residents <br /> can connect with, businesses want to work with, and empioyees are proud to represent. This <br /> new brand will aim to bridge the local government with the community it serves. In addition, the <br /> City is seeking to; <br /> • Reposition Sunny Isles Beach as a multicultural residential community, which provides its <br /> residents with a safe, diverse, engaging, evolving and caring environment to grow in. <br /> • Increase resident engagement with the City, including online and in-person engagement. <br /> • Establish a brand for the City that will endure future developments, create a lasting <br /> impact on the community, and represent the community, its diversity and its unique <br /> geographic location. <br /> 3.3 BACKGROUND <br /> The City of Sunny Isles Beach has grown exponentially over the last 22 years with high-rise <br /> luxury condominiums to the east and family homes and apartments to the west. <br /> The City was first`branded'with the slogan,"A Life with a View"in the early 2000s. The City next <br /> adopted the slogan 'Florida's Riviera' along with 'A World Class City.' These phrases have now <br /> become outdated as the City evolves. <br /> Throughout the years, the City has also.branded some of its services and parks, including the <br /> free community shuttle bus, SIBshutt/e, the emergency notification system, SIBAIert; the <br /> television station, SIBTV; the monthly newsletter, SIBis/ander, the quarterly magazine, Sunny <br /> Isles.Beach Living; free WiFi offered in select areas around the City, SIBWIFI; select parks, <br /> Gateway Park, Heritage Park, Pelican Community Park; and select special events including an <br /> annual Jazz Fest, Halloween event, spring event, and holiday event, along with a monthly concert <br /> series. <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. 19-07-02 15 <br />
