On October 1, 2007, The City of Sunny isles Beach was able to join the National Flood Insurance Program's (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS) by undertaking a•series of meaningful activities to protect the citizens of Sunny Isles Beach from losses caused by flooding. Based on the program's criteria, our City was able to obtain a classification of 8 which allowed our residents to enjoy a 10% discount in their Flood Insurance Policy.
