RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - 3o00 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING ADDENDUM <br /> NO. 1 TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND THE <br /> AMERICAN FLOOD COALITION FOR A FLOOD ADAPTATION <br /> ASSESSMENT PILOT PROJECT, ATTACHED HERETO AS <br /> EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE SAID ADDENDUM NO. 1 AND TO DO ALL THINGS <br /> NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on July 18th, 2019 via Resolution No. 2019-2956, the City Commission <br /> approved a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with the American Flood Coalition <br /> ("Coalition"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Coalition has submitted Addendum No. 1 to the MOU to address public <br /> records laws and insurance requirements; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to approve Addendum No. 1 to the <br /> Memorandum of Understanding with the American Flood Coalition for the Flood Adaptation <br /> Assessment pilot project, attached hereto as Exhibit"A". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval of Addendum No. 1. The City Commission hereby approves Addendum <br /> No. 1 to the Memorandum of Understanding with the American Flood Coalition for the Flood <br /> Adaptation Assessment pilot project, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to <br /> execute said Memorandum of Understanding and to do all things necessary to effectuate this <br /> Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
