RESOLUTION NO. 2019- Sao 7 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING AND <br /> APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS UP <br /> TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-TWO THOUSAND <br /> DOLLARS ($32,000.00) WITH LYNN M. DANNHEISSER, LLC <br /> FOR LEGAL CONSULTATION SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on February 21st, 2019, via Resolution No. 2019-2923 the City Commission <br /> eliminated the in-house legal department and began the transition to an outside legal firm; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 2019-2923 provided the Mayor and City Manager with an <br /> after-the-fact authorization to retain outside legal consultation services to assist with the transition; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 16th, 2019 via Resolution No. 2019-2942, the City Commission <br /> ratified and approved the expenditure of budgeted funds up to an amount not to exceed$85,000.00 <br /> with Lynn M. Damlheisser, LLC for legal consultation services; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City continues to require the services of Lynn M. Dannheisser; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lynn M. Dannheisser has expressed her willingness and desire to continue <br /> providing the City with her legal services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City now wishes to ratify the expenditure of budgeted funds up to an <br /> amount not to exceed Thirty-Two Thousand Dollars($32,000.00)with Lynn M. Dannheisser, LLC <br /> for legal consultation services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1 Ratification and Approval of Expenditure of Budgeted Funds. The City <br /> Commission hereby ratifies and approves the expenditure of budgeted funds up to an amount not <br /> to exceed Thirty-Two Thousand Dollars ($32,000.00) with Lynn M. Dannheisser, LLC for legal <br /> consultation services. <br /> Section 2. Authorization City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things <br /> necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
