ZONING <br /> Mayor Scholl gave opening remarks on zoning procedures/decorum. City Clerk Betancur <br /> read a disclaimer for the Zoning hearing and administered the oath to witnesses. <br /> 6A. Request of Publix Super Market, Inc. ("Applicant") for the property located at 18320 <br /> Collins Avenue, Signage Variance for the following: (Hearing #PZ2019-06): <br /> Requests: <br /> 1. Pursuant to Section 265.63.1 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br /> Regulations,the Applicant is requesting a sign variance approval for an increase in the <br /> maximum number of wall signs to allow three (3) walls signs, whereas two (2) is <br /> allowed per Section 265-56(B)(2)(b). <br /> Action:City Clerk Mauricio Betancur asked if there were any Ex-Parte disclosures to which <br /> all five (5) Commissioners stated they had not met with the applicant. <br /> Planning and Zoning Director Claudia Hasbun reported that the applicant is seeking a sign <br /> variance pursuant to Section 265-63.1 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Code of Ordinance to <br /> increase the number of wall signs to allow three (3) wall signs, whereas two (2) is allowed <br /> per Section 265-56(B)(2)(b).The Applicant has provided two options for the location of the <br /> proposed sign,requesting approval on one of the two proposed locations. Pursuant to Section 265-18 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br /> Regulations, the Applicant is requesting a modification to an approved site plan for a <br /> decrease of density from 248 residential units to 246 residential units. <br /> 2. Pursuant to Section 265-18 of the City of Sunny Isles Beach Land Development <br /> Regulations, the Applicant is requesting the increase in height for the two tower <br /> structures. The south tower request to the top of the aircraft light from 641 feet 9.5 <br /> inches NGVD to 646 feet 0.5 inches NGVD from the crown of the road.
