Thornton Tomasetti <br />References <br />Prime consultant for design of a pedestrian bridge with <br />lenticular truss spans, glass roof, elevators, fiber-reinforced- <br />polymer deck, stainless steel fence, and snow-melt systems. <br />Completed: 2018 <br />In-depth inspection, development and evaluation of <br />rehabilitation alternatives, preliminary and final design, <br />and provided CSS for the replacement of the two-span <br />concrete slab bridge superstructure crossing over the FDR <br />Drive highway at East Houston Street in Manhattan, NYC. <br />The project included replacement of the existing concrete <br />slab superstructure with new adjacent prestressed precast <br />voided slab units, and reconstruction of the center pier using <br />a precast pier cap, to accommodate staging requirements. <br />The project also included the rehabilitation of the entrance <br />and exit ramps connecting the FDR Drive NB lanes to <br />Houston Street. <br />Completed: 2017 <br />Engineering services for final design. This project included <br />redecking of the following: five Brooklyn and two Manhattan <br />steel approach structures with total length of 1,627 feet; <br />3,357 feet of ramp structures; and 1,300 feet of approach <br />roadway supported on brick arches. <br />The design encompasses the rehabilitation of the <br />substructure for the approaches and ramp, lighting, striping, <br />drainage, and maintenance and protection of traffic. <br />Completed: est. 2015 <br />Robert R.
