CGC and <br />Metric Engineering with EAC, <br />as the design engineer added <br />as one of three defendants in <br />a minor civil lawsuit styled; <br />CGV v Monroe County, EAC <br />and Shari Ramirez, P.E., <br />arising out of a dispute <br />between a client, its <br />construction contractor and <br />its construction inspection <br />engineer. <br />15-CA- <br />000563- <br />P <br />Circuit <br />Court of <br />the <br />Sixteenth <br />Judicial <br />Circuit in <br />and for <br />Monroe <br />County, <br />Florida. <br />Parties: Monroe County / <br />Construct Group Corp. Metric <br />Engineer in a breach of <br />contract action with EAC and <br />Shari Ramirez added for <br />professional negligence. The <br />case was settled and <br />concluded at mediation with <br />EAC offering a minor amount of <br />$25,000 towards a much larger <br />settlement of the matter. <br />Final Order <br />of Dismissal <br />was entered <br />on October <br />19th, 2016. <br />2015 <br />Great American Insurance <br />Company as Subrogee of <br />Northgate Condominium <br />Association Inc., v. EAC <br />Consulting Inc., JVA <br />Engineering Contractor Inc. <br />and City of North Miami. <br />2015- <br />024371- <br />CA-01 <br />Circuit <br />Court of <br />the <br />Eleventh <br />Judicial <br />Circuit in <br />and for <br />Miami- <br />Dade <br />County, <br />Florida. <br />Parties: Great American <br />Insurance Company as <br />Subrogee for the Northgate <br />Condominium Associations' <br />sued three defendants; the <br />Contractor, JVA, the Owner; <br />the City of North Miami and <br />EAC for negligence. The <br />matter was settled at mediation <br />with EAC offering to pay its one <br />third share of $6,000 and one <br />half of the City’s share in the <br />amount of $3,000 as for the <br />City’s alleged claim for <br />indemnification. The other half <br />of the City’s share was paid by <br />the Contractor. <br />Settlement <br />Agreements <br />were entered <br />into in total <br />for $9,000 <br />and <br />Stipulation <br />for Dismissal <br />of the case <br />was done on <br />July 18th, <br />2016.
