The responsibilities as a structural engineer were: Designed pre-stressed concrete monorail bridge decks, columns and piles. Prepared layouts, drawings and technical reports, assisting projects manager in reviewing shop drawings and reports for general conformance with the structural engineering design concept, and communicating with client to develop and complete the projects. The project submitted to the Tabriz Municipality. b. AND SPECIFIC ROLE [ ] Chec k if project performed with current firm Structures Eng ineer Designed Tehran metro stations, D7 and V7 including temporary and main retaining structures. The analysis and design included the soil-structure interaction analysis using PLAXIS 3D software and calculating the seismic loading from soil on stations’ walls. The analysis also included the stability and settlement of the underground stations. The design was performed using FHWAIF-99- 015, ACI 318-05 codes and the results submitted to Tehran Urban and Suburban Operation Co. As a structural engineer, he was also responsible for preparing design reports and drawings for the client. c. (1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State ) Design of Reinforced Concrete Slab for Railroad Tunnels YEARS COMPLETED PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 2010 CONSTRUCTION N/A (3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief Scope, Size, Cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE [ ] Check if project performed with current firm Structures Engineer This project was to make rail infrastructure in center of Iran compatible with high-speed lines. As a structural engineer, his responsibilities were to design slab track as a replacement for the conventional ballasted track. The analysis and design included the dynamic analysis of the slab under train loading and the design of reinforced co ncrete slab. He also optimized the design of reinforced concrete slab for railroad tunnels resulting in about 5% decrease in costs. The results from 3D models, were presented at the 12th International Conference on Rail Transportation in Tehran in 2010 and awarded the Best Paper Award. d. Three types of retaining walls were designed depending on the geotechnical and loading conditions. The responsibilities included the stability analysis and structural design of the reinforced concrete wall employing AREMA and ACI 318 codes and preparing reports and plans. The primary responsibilities were: Materials quality control; Checking plans, drawings and quantities of materials; Checking the accuracy of design calculations; Preparing reports for project manager about project progress; Maintaining construction schedule and reviewing the schedule weekly and monthly; Day-to- day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of subcontractors. 2E.
