BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, <br />size, and cost) <br />Hardesty & Hanover <br />performed engineering <br />services for the MBTA <br />Revere Rail facility and <br />streetscape project at the <br />Wonderland Station. <br />Hardesty & Hanover’s <br />design was completed as <br />part of the tender phase <br />for a design-build contract <br />for Walsh Construction. <br /> <br />The project consisted of preparation of contract documents for a new <br />pedestrian bridge to provide pedestrian access over a heavily traveled roadway <br />to a multi-use facility that links the MBTA subway station to the nearby beach <br />waterfront. The design involved a new cable stayed bridge, prestressed concrete approach <br />structure, two elevators (to the beachfront and subway station), landscape <br />architecture and aesthetic treatments to create a “gateway” to the historic <br />Wonderland beachfront. The project involved construction over active rail lines, <br />as well as coordination to accommodate future development and direct <br />connections to the MBTA subway station.anothl <br />25.
