SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION TO STANDARD FORM 330 Specialized Experience and Technical Competence RJ Behar was established to provide personalized services in the disciplines of civil engineering, planning, and construction management/engineering inspection services to public and private clients throughout South Florida. Our mission is to understand our client’s needs, apply the necessary resources to accomplish those needs, while building and maintaining long-term professional relationships with our clients. We pride ourselves in meeting our client’s needs through the use of proper project management and an extensive quality assurance program. Repeat business is the key to our success and as such we recognize the need to satisfy our clients. RJ Behar has the capability to provide plans in AutoCAD and in Microstation systems, including Civil 3D. We have prepared structure and facility inspection reports, feasibility studies, environmental studies, cost estimating services, and have extensive plans, and specifications preparation experience. We have also provided deliverables in GIS format. ROADWAY DESIGN: RJ Behar began as a roadway design firm. Our primary expertise is roadway design and most of our other areas of expertise came by way of these designs or by supplementing our roadway design capabilities. Our comprehensive design experience and expertise includes: Roadway Plans, Traffic Studies, Signal Design, Pavement Marking & Signing Design, Traffic Control Plans, Lighting Plans, Drainage & Permitting, Water & Sewer Relocation Plans, Utility Relocation Plans, Utility Design and Relocation Plans and Public Involvement. RJ Behar is uniquely qualified to provide street design services. Both Mr. Robert Behar and Mr. Juan Vazquez are members of the Florida Greenbook Committee. Mr. Behar is a voting member and Mr. Vazquez is member of the drainage committee. The Florida Greenbook provides the standards for local street design in Florida. Being members of the committees allows them to be aware of the changes in standards even before they are implemented. SPECIALTIES: RJ Behar has a well-rounded group of Civil Engineering professionals with special skills in paving, grading, drainage, structures, site development and a full cadre of support services that we can offer. The team also provides distinct areas of specialization in municipal improvements, which include Professional Hydrologists, Board Certified Environmental Engineers, Environmental Inspectors, Certified Flood Plain Managers, Threshold Inspectors, Roadway and Bridge Designers and Inspectors, CTQP Certified Inspectors, Certified Maintenance of Traffic Designers & Inspectors, Certified Public Managers, Professional Traffic Operations Engineers, and Transit Planners. RJ Behar is prequalified to provide roadway engineering services for the FDOT. From our full staff, we offer 14 licensed civil engineers and supporting professionals in roadway, drainage, permitting, water and wastewater, bridge and structural, street lighting, utilities, roadway, “complete streets design” and other related civil engineering disciplines.
